The Farm

Our family-run farming business has a cultivated land of approximately 85 hectares, which extends through the hills and the plain, and an additional 15 hectares of woods and uncultivated fields.
The business grows and produces exclusively biological products since 2001.
The land is divided into five plots, the biggest of which is La Badia, where the hearth of the farming activity and the agriturismo are.
Our main cultures are: dorum wheat, spelt, oat, soya, chickpeas, beans, lentils, alfalfa and clover. The products are both employed in the agriturismo or sold to a union of biological farmers.
We also have a small orchard, a vegetable garden and a henhouse.
We furthermore own two Avelignese broodmares, Eva and Lisetta, usually grazing around the agriturismo.

Social Farming

Since 2016, we have been actively engaged in a partnership with the “Scuola Margherita”, in Casinina, a local educational and vocational training and rehabilitation centre for people affected by disabilities. With the centre, we have embarked in a project of growing a willow plantation with a view to conduct basketry crafting workshops with home-grown material.
The grown willow is partly employed by the students of the centre themselves for the crafting of various objects, and partly employed for other basketry workshops taking place in the agriturismo or sold to finance such activities.
